I believe the only way to compare Vampire Diaries to Twilight is between the characters of Stefan and Edward. Both vampires would rather parish forever than condemn the ones they love to a painful eternal life. Other than that, there are no comparisons as far as plot. Bella was not introduced into the supernatural world of vampires until meeting Edward nor would she have any reason to be introduced to the myths and legends. Bella wants to be a vampire and live with Edward forever. Elena is tied in with the supernatural world, the truth about her mother, father and other Gilbert conspiracies would have submerged sooner or later. Elena shows no intentions of ever wanting to become a vampire, she knows how much is at stake and would not hurt the people around her. She tends to focus more on everyone else than herself. However, Bella knows how much is at stake and is ready to sacrifice everything that she and the people she loves for it.

I love The Vampire Diaries, its is so excising, its full of suprises. Keep jessing you dont know whats going to happing next!! Paul and Ian are so hot!!! i love all the characters!!! cant wait untill the secend series in september!!!hope this series never gets canceled, im a sick of tv shows getting canceled and nto having a proper ending!!! i watch so many tv shows and i would have been so many, there i been so many canceled like Moonlight, Reaper, Heroes which was may favioret, i watched all four seasons and throught there would be a firth in september because thats when all over new seasons of tv shows starts but i checked and found it had been cancled and then i've been watching Ghost Whisperer for years and its was one of my faviorets and there was a sixth season starting this september butb they cancled that as well!!! Now dont do it to this shows because this is my favioret show!!! Lots OF THIS PLEASE!!!! LOVE THE VAMPIRE DIARIES AND TWILIGHT!!!
